All Equality Matters courses can be delivered by Instructor Led Workshop or, by eLearning through our InterACT platform.

Our training takes a holistic approach. That is, our training content addresses both Diversity & Equality awareness and legislation. Students will benefit from receiving valuable guidance on Best Practice principles in dealing with colleagues and customers who are represented by any of the 6 strands of diversity. At the same time, students will receive essential guidance about the Laws which provide rights for people. Training is structured so that it is suitable for students from the Chief Executive to the non-management grade employee.

Because Equality Matters is dedicated solely to Equality & Diversity training & consultancy, you can rest assured that we constantly monitor the sources which influence the development of Diversity & Equality thinking and governance and then apply any changes to our material. Therefore, our managed service approach ensures that as Diversity & Equality develops, we develop and you develop with the confidence that you will always be up-to-date with your training.

Equality Matters will be delighted to provide a specific course that is bespoke and tailored to your organisation. Our consultants will be pleased to discuss your precise requirements.

Our 'Making Difference Normal' e-learning course takes into account the Equality Act 2010 and addresses all of the nine protected characteristics contained therein.

These replace the 'six strands' and now consist of the protected characteristics of:-

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender
  • Race
  • Religion
  • Gender re-assignment
  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Marriage and Civil partnership
  • Sexual orientation
