You'll see we've been serving customers who take their equality and diversity credentials very seriously for a number of years now;
We formed the company DDA Training UK Limited in 2000 in response to the growing demand for the raising of awareness around the issues raised by the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) of 1995. Through the consultative process of understanding our customers' aims to fully embrace equality & diversity change in their organisations, we set a course to being a specialist and wholly dedicated provider of equality & diversity "change" solutions.
The Labour Government of Tony Blair introduced the 'six strands of diversity' and in 2002, and in reaction to our customers' needs for "holistic" E&D services, we expanded the portfolio of DDATUK to include the other five of the six strands. This introduced the name change to Equality Matters Limited in 2004.
The Equality Act of 2010 increased the number, and changed the definition of the 'strands' to the nine 'protected characteristics' and Equality Matters Limited now specialises in training equality and diversity, and the total procedure of organisational change management for organisations of all sizes, and all budgets.
